Enlightenment Tour 2008 featured in 5-State Magazine The Enlightenment Tour 2008 has been featured in the October 2008 issue of the Southwestern Union Record magazine.  Record is a Christian magazine distributed monthly to Seventh-day Adventist churches in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma and New Mexico.  Read full article here.

The Enlightenment Tour 2008 - Mission Accomplished!

The Enlightenment Tour 2008 was a great success.  Missionaries worked with over 1,500 youth in Killeen, Houston, New Orleans, Atlanta, Charlotte and Miami, and enjoyed getting to know them personally.  Youth shared their experiences, asked questions, requested Bible studies, accepted literature and received prayer.  Youth were truly blessed as a result of the mission work done in their cities.  You can read about the success of the Tour here

All Nations Seventh-day Adventist Church (Arlington, TX)
Founders and staff of The Enlightenment Tour, Inc. were at the All Nations Seventh-day Adventist Church in Arlington, TX on Saturday, March 1, 2008.  They conducted workshops on the following topics:  Drug Abuse, Child Abuse, Fornication, and Homosexuality.  Members from each workshop presented what they learned and some great solutions to deal with these real life issues.  Constance Troupe worked with the children, and taught them a new song,  "I Just Wanna Be A Sheep", which was presented at the end of the workshops.

North American Division Youth/Young Adult Leadership Summit (Dallas, TX)Representatives of The Enlightenment Tour were recently attended the NAD Youth/Young Adult Leadership Summit in Dallas, TX.  Youth leaders from around the world came to Dallas to further enhance their leadership skills.  While there, many attendees visited The Enlightenment Tour, Inc.'s booth to learn about The Enlightenment Tour and were eager to help in any way possible.  It was a blessing to see how many people across the country are serious about reaching America's at-risk youth.  Several individuals & organizations have partnered with The Enlightenment Tour in it's mission to "show America's youth hope & peace through Jesus Christ". 

            

 The National Association for the Prevention of Stravation (NAPS)
NAPS has joined The Enlightenment Tour, Inc. in it's mission to show America's youth hope & peace through Jesus Christ.  NAPS is a 501(c)(3) non-profit volunteer relief organization founded in 1978.  It's mission is to mitigate hunger, poverty, and disease, and to improve education and food security among suffering people, both nationally and internationally, regardless of race, religion, or nationality.


           

Desoto Seventh-day Adventist Church
The Enlightenment Tour, Inc. staff were at the DeSoto Seventh-day Adventist Church in DeSoto, TX for their Youth Day on Saturday, November 3, 2007.  The theme was "My Brother's Keeper".  Founders, David & Micheal Boyd preached during the morning service and the staff hosted an evening workshop on how to evangelize the Dallas-Ft. Worth area.  Both youth and adults learned during the workshop that the City of Dallas was rated #1 in crime a record 8 years.  The workshop also focused on issues like:  poverty, addictions, stress, and sexuality.  Participants divideded into groups where they put together a plan on how to handle these issues while sharing the love of Jesus Christ.

           

Agape Church of God in Christ
On Wednesday, July 25, 2007, The Enlightenment Tour, Inc. had the opportunity to put on Agape Church of God in Christ's first day program of Vacation Bible School.  The theme was "Be An Example".  The youth were blessed as The Enlightenment Tour, Inc. presented an icebreaker, prayer, music, a talk show w/ a commercial, children's story, and a small sermonette.  For more information, click here.

            

Three Angel's Broadcasting Network (3ABN)
The Founders of The Enlightenment Tour, Inc. were afforded the opportunity to do an interview about the upcoming "The Enlightenment Tour 2008" on Three Angel's Broadcasting Network's flagship program, "3ABN Today".  The official airing date was Memorial Day, Monday, May 28, 2007 at:  USA CST 1:00a.m., 8:00a.m., 3:00p.m. & 9:00p.m.  

The program replayed on Tuesday, October 14, 2008.

Three Angel's Broadcasting Network is the "World's Largest 24-hour Christian Satellite Broadcaster" and 3ABN television alone has a potential audience of over a half-billion people.  3ABN is covered by satellite in 176 of 193 countries.

Brandon Bernard
There is a young man by the name of Brandon Bernard whom has been blessed by The Enlightenment Tour, Inc's ministry.  Brandon is a Christian and also the youngest person ever to be put on Federal Death Row.  Brandon read about The Enlightenment Tour in a magazine and wrote David & Michael  saying "as soon as read your article I knew what God wanted me to do."  Brandon has written a six-page testimonial of his life and has asked them to share it with other youth in America who may be in similar situations as he was.  To view his his tesimonial, click on Brandon Bernard.  If you would like to write him, you should send your letters to:  Brandon Bernard #91908-080, Federal Correctional Institution, P.O. Insight Magazine
David & Michael Boyd were featured on the cover of the December 9. 2006 issue of Insight Magazine.  David had the opportunity to speak with one of the editors at a United Youth Congress in Atlanta, GA.  He satisfied her curiosity about the Tour and she decided it would be a great article for youth to read about and get involved in.  Insight magazine is an international youth publication.  If you would like to read this article, click on Insight Magazine.

Weathering the Storm
On March 11, 2007, The Enlightenment Tour, Inc. sponsored a disaster preparedness seminar called "Weathering the Storm"  for the City of Killeen.  Representatives from the City of Killeen, American Red Cross, National Weather Service, Homeland Security, and Texas National Guard gave vital information on what to do to be ready for a natural disaster or manmade catastrophe should one impact the city.  The theme of the conference was based from the biblical scripture, Hosea 4:6, "My people perish from a lack of knowledge".  For more information, click on "Weathering the Storm".
